  • Resistance is futile

Ahhh...The death of Discreet. There is no logical reason why Autodesk decided to kill the brand/name Discreet. One can only guess at the ludicrous reasoning behind this insane move. The assimmilation of Discreet by Autodesk is now complete. But remember: Resistance is futile!

  • We want Discreet back now!

I love the Discreet name, logo, feel. It suits the products and it is has that magic and x appeal. 'Autodesk is a name that lacks everything a Lovemark is about. 'Autodesk' may save money on stationery (one reason why they justified dropping the Discreet name), but they have lost something of incalculable value in the process. We want Discreet back now!!!!!

  • Inspiring intense loyalty

Most special effects in major feature films were made with Discreet’s Flame, Flint and Inferno tools. Inspiring intense loyalty, artists love working with them, far beyond "just a tool." Discreet even has tools for those who don't have $100K+ to spend. Combustion ($1K) inherited some of the Academy Award-winning technology and intelligent user interfaces from their high end systems. There is a lot of goodwill in buying $1K software with elements of a $100K+ system. The Discreet name pulled in many who couldn't start at the top.The name Discreet says "truly professional tools" with the whole picture considered before adding new components, not just feature diarrhea. Now why did Autodesk ("architect's desktop software”) replace the Discreet brand ("lovechild and inheritor of $100K+ system functionality”) for most products? Qualifying for the Darwin Awards? We want the Discreet name back!
