A literary masterpiece
I received this book as a gift when I was nine years old and I have read it many times over. My daughters have read it as well and we have watched both versions of the movie, which was based on it. Truly a literary masterpiece.

The beginning...
Little Women was the first real book I ever read. I remember my mother and I were reading it together, but she was so busy, and I wanted to keep going! So one day she got up to answer the phone and I simply continued. That day was the beginning of my insatiable need for more books. The morals the girls lived by, the frustration and answers they had to their problems, the love they exuded…even the language Alcott used all shaped me as I am today; I grew up with it. Thank you Ms. Alcott!
