I wish that I would have met him
I wish that I would have met him before he left here! A genius that cannot only be used as an example but as an inspiration for modern art. Basquiat! He has the most dynamic color schemes and "messages" that can be disputed by many art lovers all over the world. He was first "SAMO", now he is "Basquiat."

Quite simply a genius.
Why? Because Basquiat was quite simply a genius: the words, the intelligence, the passion, the rawness, the sophistication, the child-like, the insight, the beauty and the rage. How? Because he has touched my soul, my work and the way I look at things in this mad world. Not everything that he did was brilliant; much is flawed and sloppily created but the poetry always shines through. He resonates still. Plush safe he think!
