Masterpiece Theater

A rose in a sea of weeds...

Sunday night television is filled with it's variety of programing, but one series of shows I continue to cherish is Masterpiece Theater, simply a rose in a sea of weeds. Masterpiece Theater seeks to lift the words of some of history's greatest writers off paper and onto our television screen. And while some may say that could discourgage reading in it's own right, I say the opposite. I have discovered authors and novels due to masterpiece theater which I may never have heard of. With its recreation of the classic novels, and modern productions, as well as it's Mystery productions, Masterpiece Theater has something for everyone, young and old. Perhaps this is why it has survived for countless decades, and hopefully will for many more.
