The Smiths were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1982. The band consisted of Morrissey, Johnny Marr, Andy Rourke, and Mike Joyce.

Wish it was my era
The Smiths! The Smiths! The dark genius of Morrisey and the wonder of Johnny Marr. I don't remeber the 80's but after listening to magnificent Manchester music such as "Sweet and tender hooligan", "How soon is now", "This charming man" and "Pretty girls make graves" I sure wish it was my era.

A light that never goes out
Do you remember the 80's? While everybody else was getting into the groove, they came from Manchester to ask and let people know how Joan of Arc really felt. The Smiths mixed joy and sorrow, love and pain. In music they seized a light that never goes out.
