  • Make sure it's Fairtrade!

All trade should be Fairtrade! It just makes sense that everyone involved in the act of consumerism, from the farmer, to the manufacturer, the producers, the suppliers, the re-sellers, the buyers - we should all get the best deal. No one should have to suffer for the sake of consumerism. If you don't need it - don't buy it! If you buy it - make sure it's Fairtrade!

  • A fair wage for a fair days work

Fairtrade provides a consumer purchasing channel that values my need for a great product (such as coffee) with the actual producer. The channel thus adds value to my purchase. It gives me choice, representing not the needs of a multinational, but a small business that needs to be paid a fair wage for a fair days work in order to improve both the product and the region it is produced (not just a corporations dividends and share value). Fairtrade identifies with my desire to value those that want to better themselves through hard work but where their market barriers are socially, culturally and economically formidable. It represents both my cabalistic and socialistic values.
