Unselfish, committed and sincere
Rik Emmett has been an inspiration in a number of ways. His music was a part of my childhood. As an adult, the positive messages in his lyrics hold meaning, offer guidance and provide solace in my life. I've come to see him as a well-rounded man. He is a teacher (literally), a committed father and husband, an athlete, a writer, a composer, an artist, a model of community. He stands up for his beliefs both public and private. He is a person who "gets it"; demonstrated in his unwavering ability to "give back". I am nominating Mr. Emmett, not as a musician, but as a human being. Above all things he has remained true to himself, his talents and to those in need of his inspiration. He epitomizes the dream that we can be anything we want... as long as we are unselfish, committed and sincere.

A renaissance man of the guitar
Rik is truly a gifted individual, with passion, devotion, and the rare ability to touch the very soul of the listener. I don't care what angle you approach this man's work from, be it his days in "Triumph", or his astounding solo career... you will never find music like his. Rik's guitar ability is far beyond the scope and norm of many musicians known and unknown, and he's truly a renaissance-man of the guitar.

A class act all the way
Extraordinary singer/songwriter and guitarist. Rik Emmett is a fantastic "all-around" musician. Rik was the main attraction in a very successful hard rock band called Triumph during the 1970's and 1980's. Due to the limitations imposed by the lack of musical abilities of other band members and a dire need to go in another musical direction, Rik left it all behind and went solo. Now as a solo artist he continues to astonish loyal fans and new comers alike. The loyal fans who have remained passionate about Rik's music have grouped together in all parts of the states and Canada to continue bringing Rik's live acts to local venues. They are known as the Rik Emmett Network. Rik Emmett is an extremely versatile musician who can play a wide variety of musical styles. A class act all the way.

Rik Emmett and his music have been a big part of my life. Being a guitarist myself, I can only hope that one day I will be able to play half as well as he can. Rik's talents and passion for guitar has soared since the 70's and 80's. He's a kind and good spirited man and you can hear it in the notes he plays. Check him out.

The soundtrack of my life
Rik Emmett is a Canadian virtuoso guitarist. Rik has been making music for over 30 years, and his music has become the soundtrack of my life. He has written inspirational and uplifting lyrics to rock songs that ran contrary to the genre of the 70's & 80's, and sensitive ballads where one can witness the love and devotion he has for his wife. His instrumentals move me through intricately expressive melodies. Rik Emmett's music has inspired my loyalty beyond reason, and the loyalty of fans everywhere.
