Jamie Oliver

Jamie Oliver was born in 1975. His television breakthrough came on the BBC series "The Naked Chef" (the title was a reference to the simplicity of Oliver's recipes). After several more series and work on his Fifteen Foundation, his programmes are shown in over 40 countries, including the USA's Food Network.

  • Oozed courage

Jamie is very inspirational, the way he handled the school dinners was never going to be done by anyone else. He was strong and oozed courage. Well done!

  • A time to connect with others and share...

We can all be inspired by Jamie Oliver. Its not just about his passion for cooking, it's the way he makes a difference to people on one of the simplest levels there is. We all need to eat, but Jamie has reminded us that its about more than just filling the body. That eating is a time we can connect with others and share. Jamie’s TV series on food in English schools, and its outcome of getting additional government funding, made we think there are many Jamie Oliver’s out there in their own fields, each with something to say that will change the world.
