My favorite chocolate substitute
Tootsie Rolls are so wonderfully old school. I still remember the song from an animated commercial--"... Tootsie Roll how I love your chocolately chew. Tootsie Roll I think I'm in love with you ..." My favorite chocolate substitute (Chocolate is the 5th ingredient).

Can't keep from smiling
A TV ad for Tootsie Pops, Tootsie Rolls' big brother, is one of the all-time greatest. Many people will know the one I'm describing... a kid asks a number of animals how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. The only creature who knows is the wise old owl. After licking the irresistible pop twice, he bites it and responds proudly, "Three." Can't keep from smiling, can you? Fantastic ad, great product. There's an enduring Lovemark for you (and me)!

I remember my feelings
When I was little and my mom had to go to work or stayed overtime, my relatives would give me Tootsie Rolls and comfort me. . . A few years later we moved to Canada and left all familiarities behind. I remember my feelings at the sight of Tootsie Rolls. Upon the first taste I was transported back 'home' to my relatives and a feeling of comfort swept over me.
