  • Without question

Reading and coming across the three Lovemarks ingredients mystery, sensuality and intimacy, I found that Tanya's music covers all of these (and more). Music is such a big part of my life, and finding in her songs such truthfulness, charm and magic as well as the three above-mentioned ingredients, they've changed my views on it forever in the most positive way. True in her ways and actions, she is the most genuine artist I've ever had the pleasure of seeing, hearing, meeting and listening to, and I cannot express how inspiring she is to me (and, not in a lesser way, my own musical efforts). She deserves this lovemark without question.

  • Gave me the energy and spirit to go on

Tanya Donelly reminds me of a very long and tough personal journey. Through the days when breathing weighed me down her music gave me the energy and spirit to go on. Past all the nonsense of being a teenager and into the adult relationship and career waters, her music has been there providing a comforting haven. Last year after a trying few months I felt uplifted enough to travel all the way from my home in Kent, to Vermont, USA, to meet her and tell her just what her music means to me and many others. Having passed every Lovemark test, she truly has earned a place in here. Tanya Donelly is an icon. Not only was she half of the Throwing Muses, one of the founding members of the Breeders, the founder of Belly, and currently has her own sucessful solo career; but she is also active in her website, a full time mother who is a sincere, moral person who is not afraid to speak out about what she believes in. There are many more personal reasons why I think Tanya Donelly deserves a lovemark. Her music also features places and issues which are rarely tackled by other artists, which is something I find inspirational. She has an amazing talent, both lyrically and vocally, which combined with her guitar playing, can make even the most mundane songs take on new meaning.
