Its deft combination
Though owned by the vast Time Warner media conglomerate, Entertainment Weekly (EW) has earned the loyalty of its readers through its deft combination of hi-brow and low-brow entertainment news and reviews. I have subscribed to this magazine for the past 4 years and receiving it is one of the highlights of my week. Though it occasionally slips up by showcasing Britney Spears on the cover, this I can forgive. For EW is a champion of independent movies and music, giving me a showcase that ensures their viability amongst a world of cook-cutter mindless cheese for the masses.
