Part of the adventure of our lives
We happened upon geocaching through a brief mention by a friend. Ever since discovering it for ourselves through a spur of the moment puzzle hunt, this "game" has become a part of the adventure of our lives. We geocache as a family, even if just one of us goes out. Whenever we travel, we look for a geocache or two in the area. Whenever we have some extra free time, we consider what treasure we could attempt to find. Every geocacher we have met is an instant friend. And the adventures we have had will be part of our family's back porch memories.

Finding unique spots
Geocaching is a great way to get out and enjoy nature. The caches are a means to the goal of finding unique spots for adventure. Also great for spending time with family and friends.

Reminded me of who I am inside
How appropriate; I started geocaching on Valentine's Day, 2004...the day when Lovemarks should be most evident. Before that day, I had little reason to leave my house in my wheelchair, let alone accomplish goals that have surprised not only myself, but also the many new friends I've made in the caching community. Seven months ago, I was a recluse with little self-worth. Today, I have renewed self-esteem, all due to a passion for a challenging activity, and for the doors that passion has opened for me. Geocaching is more than a Lovemark to me... it's reminded me of who I am inside, despite outward appearances; the real me who remembers what it's like to take chances and to live life to its fullest. I've hidden that person away for far too long.

Additional way of fun
Being an avid outdoors person, caching gives me an additional way of fun in the hills. And when I'm not in the hills I'm usually planting caches in the city of Loveland (Colorado) - caches that emphasize the lovely artistic sculptures that abound in our lovely little city.

Refocused our lives
We have enjoyed geocaching immensely, and have been to places in 8 states, 3 countries and 3 provinces we would never had seen if not for geocaching. Some in areas we've grown up in. We've also met some nice peole from all over the world while geocaching. We started geocaching in 2001 after our son finished a year of cancer treatments. It brought us back outdoors and refocused our lives. Kudos to the originators!

Helps link technology with nature
Geocaching helps link technology with nature, in a way that highlights the best of both. It has impacted both my personal and my professional life. As a science teacher, I use geocaching to captivate my students while I teach them about using technology. It’s a creative way to teach computer search engine skills, reinforce map reading skills, and create curiosity about local historic areas. Geocaching reinforces the way that technologic advances are shaping our lives. Now students want to know about satellite technology, and have the tools to learn about mapping vanishing wetlands. They will even be able to give something back to their community, in the form of sponsoring CITO events to clean up a local neighborhood.

Subsets of humanity
Geocaching is a source of happiness for me. It has changed my life for the better, opened new perspectives and created opportunities that I never knew existed before. Geeks in the woods with weird looking "cell phones." Geocachers themselves are one of the finest and most unique subsets of humanity. I have never met a geocacher that I didn't like.

Great time
Geocaching is a fantastic way to get out in the evenings and weekends with my kids and enjoy the area. We are avid outdoorsy-type people and have become obsessed with geocaching. Great time.

The challenge of finding something well hidden!
I discovered Geocaching about 3 months ago. I have been totally hooked ever since! The most fun hobby I've ever had. I've been to so many places, many right under my nose, but I never knew they were there. It's been a chance to get outside, get some exercise, and enjoy the challenge of finding something well hidden! I am a big history buff, and many caches are hidden at or near historical sites. I've also met some really nice people. There are caches hidden in difficult terrain to challenge you physically, ones hidden in creative ways to challenge you mentally, and some hidden where you can get even young children involved. They get really exicted to find the "Treasure." It's a great family hobby, and Geocaching.com is hands-down the easiest, most reliable, most extensive site available!

The place where we bring it all together
Geocaching is a great way to meet really fun, creative, and eccentric techno-geeks who have just discovered the outdoors. Watch out, they've stepped away from their computers. Of course, we bring as much technology into the field as we can, which makes the transition easier. Geocaching.com is the place where we bring it all together online.
