  • What a boost a letter from home is

Instead of just sitting in front of the news every night wringing my hands, Operation Kool-Aid has given me a pro-active way to support our troops. The man who started this program (Ralph) is the most selfless person. He continues to think of our young men over there and what we can do for them. Coming from a military background he knows what a boost a letter from home is. The rewards I receive for participating do my heart good. I get great joy in brightening someone's day with a care package from home, especially when they are serving our wonderful country for us.

  • Worked every day

Thanks Holly for placing my passion for the last 13 months in Lovemarks! I have worked every day to spread the word about OKA and care packages to our Troops! God Bless!

  • Not forgotten

Operation Kool-Aid is a fantastic program that lets us, here at home, help our soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen out. It has nothing to do with whether or not this war is a moral or ethical event - it has everything to do with letting our fellow Americans know they are not forgotten and that we care about them.

  • Cared enough

Hot. Tired. Sand everywhere. Far from home. Feeling forgotten and unappreciated. Then, comes a box from people you don't even know. Inside are reminders of home -kool-aid, snack bars, some chapstick - all things that you can't get. Someone back "home" cared enough to send you some much wanted items. Suddenly, things don't seem quite so bad. Your hot water now has the flavors of a hot summer day when you were a carefree child. You and your buddies laugh as you check out the characters in the fruit snack packs. And for a moment, things are good. I was the first soldier to get a box from Operation Kool-aid.

  • About people

This program is about people. Most of the people involved with Operation Kool-Aid are US citizens. We want to make many American products available to our troops who are stationed in Iraq, protecting the citizens there, while they create a new governmental system. We send boxes of non-perishable items that we buy at our local stores here in the US. Our troops have posted requests on the Operation Kool-Aid site and we try to stick with the 'shopping list', so to speak. They say that 'charity begins at home' and 'home is where the heart is'...so let's send a box or two of goods to our troops, who are serving the Iraqi people.
