Breaking through
Dr. Steven Gutstein and his wife Dr. Rachelle Sheely of the Connections Center in Houston, Texas have developed a comprehensive, gentle, loving and humane treatment system for children with autism. Relationship Development Intervention has given light to families who have autistic children by empowering the family with gentle, fun and loving therapeutic ways they can assist their child with understanding and connecting with others. Stories of success that some of the families tell of their breaking through the isolated world of an autistic child, gives a message of hope and connection to many who have experienced the devistation that this disorder can bring.
