Gives me heartburn
Costco gives me heartburn. How much of their inventory is from offshore? Why are the staff suddenly acting so spiteful? Why is their return process subject to the whims of the people behind the counter? Not that great a place anymore.

A great place to shop!
Costco is a great place to shop! I have returned defective products several years after purchasing them at Costco. I always get a hassle free full refund with a smile. I can purchase a product from a Costco location in another country (ie USA) and return it to the Costco located near my home in Canada will full exchange and refund. Costco treats their employees well (wages and benefits).

Great Benefits
Costco is great for all the reasons mentioned below AND because they're a great company too. In a business climate where the Enron and Wal-Mart models are fast becoming the norm, Costco is different. Wal-Mart's CEO makes about 500 times what the average Wal-Mart employee makes. Many Wal-Mart employees make minimum wage, are given only part-time status with no benefits (fewer than half of W-M employees have health benefits). Conversely, Costco employees make several times minimum wage (the lowest paid Costco employee gets $10/hr) and almost all get full time status with benefits.

It's like a treasure hunt!
I LOVE Costco. I get personal goods, groceries, clothes, office supplies, luxury goods, gifts, liquor, electronics, household items, etc. from there. When I lived in Chicago, I'd drive 30 miles each way (which is 2 hours sometimes with traffic) just to get to the Costco. Then they built one in the city, and I went 2-3x a week just to look around because it's like a treasure hunt! Now I am in graduate school in New Hampshire, near the Vermont border. At least once a month, I find myself driving 100 miles EACH way just to go to Costco. I also regularly shop costco.com. Their stuff is always first rate. I never have to worry about quality or price. Their customer service is top notch. What's not to like? I wish I could buy everything for my life there, and that there was one closer to me...

Where I do all my shopping
Costco is where I do all my shopping. If I have to buy anything from anywhere else I cringe. Costco stands by all the products they sell. If I need to return an item I know Costco will not give me any grief. The products they sell are always high quality, especially the Costco Kirkland brand. Costco may be a member store but they pay me to shop Costco with the executive membership, it pays for the membersip every year. I save the cost of the basic membership on my milk purchases alone.

Even just to look
Everything about Costco makes me happy. I never have to worry if the price is right, because it always is. I never have to worry about quality, because they take anything back at anytime. Costco seems to be one of the few remaining stores that place its customers first. To top off my shopping experience, they offer a 12 course meal in samples for lunch. I try to go to Costco at least twice a week, even just to look.
