Saturday Night Live

  • A touchstone for our entire culture

Every Saturday night, my brother and I would sneak into the TV room (far away from our parent's bedroom), turn on the TV as low as we could, and laugh ourselves silly. Watching SNL was one of the few times we got along, and one of the few things we had in common. Watching classic comedians like John Belushi, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, and Chevy Chase we shaped our sense of humor together. Even now, I find a common bond with not just him, but a whole generation of kids that grew up laughing at Land Sharks, Coneheads and Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood. SNL has become a touchstone for our entire culture, and still makes me laugh.

  • Fun, joy, irreverence!

SNL equals fun, joy, irreverence! In every incarnation, I love it. From the classic 70's years to now. Made every Saturday night fun. A new home for some of my favorite SCTV (Second City Television) alums - a show that was actually funnier than SNL in its day.
