I can't help but be enchanted
James Stewart was adorable and a fantastic actor to boot! He epitomises the America of the late 40's / early 50's for me. When I think of Jimmy, that beautiful era of mysterious black and white romanticism (e.g. classic Rom-Com The Philadelphia Story) comes to mind, filtered by the glorious Technicolor, but no less mysterious, later Hitchcock tales. His characters are always appealing despite their many nuances, and the way Jimmy plays them, I can't help but be enchanted. I especially love his more left of centre roles in the off beat Bell, Book & Candle and the unforgettably charming Harvey.

Keeps me humble
What's not to love about Jimmy Stewart. Of course my favorite is 'It's a Wonderful Life'. I watch it every year sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The movie keeps me humble and well grounded. I've accepted that I'm here for a purpose even though I'm not living my ultimate dream. People need me and I'm here for them. I'm happy to serve others and I enjoy the journey in the process of traveling through life itself.

So emotional, so real
How can you not love Jimmy Stewart? I fell in love with him in Rear Window. What an actor! So sweet, self effacing but proud, courageous. His acting was so emotional, so real.
