Blue-blooded Brit
At first glance, it’s hard to classify the DB9 as a blue-blooded Brit. The CEO of the company is a manic German engineer, whose involvement was a key factor in establishing the performance leap of the new coupe over the previous DB7. The car’s lines were penned by another German, BMW design works Chief Henrik Fisker, after the initial designer, Ian Callum, was transferred to Jaguar. The heart of the DB9, the 5.9L V12, is produced in Cologne, Germany, along with the six-speed auto transmission, which comes from gearbox specialist ZF. Even the car’s electronic and safety features were developed in conjunction with the Swedes over at Volvo. At least its styling is in keeping with Aston Martin’s of old, an evolution of the DB7, which itself was reminiscent of the DB models from the 60’s and 70’s. It's a dream to get handed the keys to one of the hottest cars on the planet, a tank full of gas and the chance to play James Bond for a couple of days.

Combination of agility and elegance
From the 1964 DB5 in "Goldfinger" right back to the 2006 DBS in "Casino Royale". They are the cars of choice of Sean Connery and Daniel Craig, being the legend and the future of James Bond. The perfect combination of agility and elegance has never been unified better in any other car.

They balance power, beauty and grace
The most beautiful driving machines in the world. The way they balance power, beauty and grace into one package makes me feel good every time I see an Aston Marton automobile- not to mention their heritage. As the classic Bond car, they stand for the suave, sophisticated character in all of us.
