Root beer floats
A&W Rootbeer! It just makes me think of times long gone, of times when I was a boy and my parents would take me to that place where they made those awesome floats!! I can still remember how they would come out to our car and take our order, and then return with our root beer floats. It is something that I will always remember every time I see that famous A&W logo!

One of the few traditions...
A & W rootbeer is one of the few traditions that is still around from my childhood. The days of Drive-in theaters and drive-up hamburger joints with carhops are almost completely gone. The kids now do not have it as good as we, the Baby Boomers did. Things are too rushed to really enjoy the real things around you that take time like families did years ago.

May have to make a road trip...
A&W Rootbeer is good from a can (which we can't get where I live), but so much better in a heavy glass A&W mug. Brings back memories of the drive-in A&W restaurant we used to have here (lights on to order, trays hanging from the windows, etc). *drool* I may have to make a road trip to the nearest A&W in the next few days =)

I only need one more thing
Sitting on the creek-bank, my feet dangle in the water and I hear an orchestration of birds, frogs and crickets. A gentle breeze joins them, providing a background of stirring leaves, a symphony in tribute to the summer season. The aroma of wet earth and wild flowers envelopes me and I only need one more thing to bring this moment to perfection. The metal ring cracks sharply in the peaceful setting allowing the first taste to leave a sweet dew on my lips, caress my tongue and dance its way down my dry eager throat. It's my A&W Rootbeer and I'm livin' large.
