A grande old lady
The Regent Theatre, a grande old lady and icon of Dunedin, would have been turned into a car park thirty years ago if it had not been for a visionary and dedicated band of Dunedinites who set about to 'save' her from ruin. Today, she has been restored to beyond her former glory and a strong team of volunteers, some from the original salvage team, continue to protect her. My Lovemark armchair is number 15 in 'the circle', which I sink right into when I need to hide from the world.
