  • A big impact

I have worked in an Aveda salon for over four years and we look forward to Project Daymaker every year. For 2004 we did back to school cuts for kids in our community. Mother Teresa said, "We can not do great things. Only little things with great love." A little love can make a big impact on a persons life!

  • They add in care, compassion, dignity

Project Daymaker has been wonderful to our agency and to people experiencing homelessness in our community. They have visited us annually for four years now. In fact, they just provided 70 haircuts in about 3.5 hours to clients of our emergency shelter last week as part of National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week. They always share much more than cuts, styles and product ...they add in care, compassion, dignity, respect and a positive outlook. We love Project Daymaker and their staff!

  • A very empowering program

I know of 40 women who participated in this Project. These women have been battered or abused in some form. This was a very empowering program for boosting their confidence in themselves and others that give. Please continue this program. It is wonderfully empowering.

  • An incredible feeling inside

Working with Project Daymaker gives you an incredible feeling inside. Our salon worked with it 2 years ago, and it inspired us to work with a shelter in our town on our own, on an ongoing basis. The gratitude that these people express can bring tears to your eyes. I would encourage ALL salons to think of doing something like this in your community.

  • Great to see the eyes light up

I have worked with Project Daymaker as a volunteer. It is great to see the eyes light up of someone that has been treated nicely in a world that sometimes leaves behind the ones that need our help the most. We have volunteered to help the homeless and battered women. I hope that Project Daymaker can continue to help people for many years. (Business owner, Indianapolis, Indiana).

  • Brings a sparkle back to their eyes

This project has been to our office a couple of times over the last year or so and has had a tremendous impact on those that utilized the services offered. The clients come out feeling rejuvenated, special and more positive than most have been in a long time. This project brings a sparkle back to their eyes. This is a fabulous project! Thanks to those that give their time and talent to make this possible. You're wonderful!! Keep coming back!

  • Love in their voices

I am pleased to say I had the privilege of meeting the individuals who make the Daymaker spa what it is, and had the opportunity to partake in the services they offer. Everyone there had smiles on their faces and love in their voices. They all went out of their ways to make you feel welcomed and most importantly, special. I believe it gave everyone an improved outlook on their day and maybe more. I hope that Daymaker spa continues to get the resources and volunteers they need to carry on their fabulous efforts.

  • Grateful for the opportunity

Project Daymaker is awesome!! Our agency was grateful for the opportunity to be involved in this wonderful project. It was very rewarding to see those less fortunate receive a day of pampering and caring. The smiles on their faces was truly priceless. Thank you! Our host, Gary Whitney was charming, caring and very personable. Words cannot describe the professionals who donated their time and talents to bring beauty to the lives of the less fortunate. Thank you, from the Parenting Skills Training Program at Goodwill Industries of East Central Ohio.

  • To be applauded

This is a wonderful opportunity for the less fortunate to gain self esteem and self confidence. The founder, organizers, and volunteers need to be applauded for all they have contributed to society.

  • Thank You

I want to say Thank You once more for helping every one here that other wise could not look as good for work and school. This means a lot to people that can not pay for services.
