  • Comfort and relief

In the busy life of a college student, many find that there is little time to just stop, breathe, and relax. However I have found comfort and relief in my iPod. Whether I am walking to class listening to a random playlist, or unwinding in my apartment to a soothing song, my iPod always offers a song to fit my mood.

  • Life changing

My life has changed since I have put the white head phones in my ears. I am sure I would never live without my iPod.

  • Has my love and respect

My love and respect for the iPod brand was partly developed through the cool advertising campaigns generated by TBWA. However, my family has gone through a series of iPods, going from strength to strength as the technology improves.

  • Love is blind and red

Like many I have been a fan of Apple before I owned any of their products. Then, come Christmas 05, I got a 1st Gen Nano. My life changed. No longer was I carting around a CD player limited to 20 songs per disc, I had this awesome gadget that could store 500 songs!! It became an image of me in the realm of technology. This year I updated to a 4th Gen, and its like travelling down memory lane again. Except this time it has video, 'shake to shuffle', games and of course ALL of my music. Not to mention its RED with 'Amore e Cieco. Con Colore Rosso.' engraved, translated as 'love is blind and red.' So true.

  • Absolutely fantastic

Despite the sleek look and feel, I know that the Apple iPhone is still not perfect for my needs, so I have resisted the temptation thus far. Instead, I am content to max out my iPod (in large part thanks to iTunes). Although the agenda and contacts are weak applications in the Apple mobile platforms, I now have all my family videos and photos uploaded. And, thanks to the ongoing developments on iTunes, I have found ample pleasure by mining the available uploadable [mostly free] content, including the album covers, television rebroadcasts and podcasts. The choice ranges from newscasts to business to entertain to education to inspiration. And there are many special interests too. The development of the iTunes U section is absolutely fantastic: mobile learning with support systems to help educational institutions to learn how to do it.

  • The soundtrack of my life

Remembering, in London, the question, which colour do you like more...pink, blue or white? Pink of course. Thinking you were going buying me a shirt or a bag. You turning up with a pink iPod for me. I hugged it to me then, I love it still, I add to it and it becomes more dear every day, more friendly, more me; more us. When the bombs went off, my heart terrorised and my eyes frantic and wet, alone, I turned the iPod on and my heart was unafraid. Listening to “Somewhere only we know” as we had done the weekend before, watching Live 8, drinking Corona and eating nachos, when fear was laughable, when London was whole. We were soon to leave London, and move to Australia and then Singapore. The pod moved with us, a constant reminder of love, of togetherness and of you with me even when we were apart. I still love listening to my iPod in a public place. I hug the music to me like a charm; it’s a secret only I know. Can you guess what I am listening to? It’s the soundtrack of my life.

  • Technology meets art

So incredible that Apple will go down in history as technology meets art ,where Microsoft will go down as a bully that runs others out of business and puts crappy products on the market.

  • Je t'aime ma cherie

I wanted to buy an iPod but my parents weren't as thrilled as I was with the idea, and wouldn't buy it for me. Then I completely fell in love with the second generation Shuffle models. It was probably the only thing I talked about and my boyfriend took it as a hint and got me a beautiful blue iPod for my birthday. Gorgeously engraved on the back with the phrase: Je t'aime ma cherie (I love you my dear). I didn't have that much music on my laptop so he included a cd with over a thousand songs for me. I randomly uploaded them on to my iPod, but I will never forget the first song it played. Perfect. I don't remember its name, and had no idea who was singing as it played. But I'll never forget the feeling as I walked outside my house to my first day of class that semester with a beautiful song in the background and a soft wind in my face. It has competely changed my walk to the bus, it makes every day better from the start.

  • It always has just the right song

My "leaving the house" check list has gotten longer: Keys? Wallet? Phone? iPod?! I LOVE my iPod - it goes everywhere with me! It always has just the right song, no matter what mood I’m in. I don’t know what I’d do if it got stolen. The thought horrifies me.
