Talking Heads
Here at the edge of the stage I, I, I, wake up and wonder What was the place, what was the name? We wanna wait, but here we go again...

The perfect antidote
David Byrne - I'm amazed. Story goes that I was going through a breakup & needed to get out. Saw an advert for a gig with Jim White supporting a guy I'd never heard of. Who cares? It was a bank holiday and I had the blues. It was the perfect antidote. Jim White was awesome, as ever. Since I'd paid for a front row seat, might as well stick around. David Byrne - enormous talent. For the next 80 minutes, songs familiar as my own radio were making me sway and lose myself in memories and images. Utterly sublime performance artist, and brilliant entertainment!

How it is they speak so much?
How is it that the words stop making sense but they speak so much? I'm just an animal looking for a home, share the same space for a minute or two, and I love you till my heart stops...

A cultured blast
The name of this band is... Staccato, jumping, wind it up and Byrne down the House! That's Talking Heads for me. Loved the suit, the edge of the stage, the driving edge again. Music to make you realise music is to be made. I loved the sophisticated ear and the rare simplicity. The rhythm and the hint of chant. Next to New Zealand's Split Enz, Talking Heads remain a timeless and cultured blast.
