Steinlager is a lager-style beer brewed by Lion Nathan in Auckland, New Zealand. It was first brewed in 1957 and is New Zealand’s biggest export beer.

Hallmarks of a Lovemark
Every country has an "Identity" beer. Australia has Fosters, USA has Budweiser, Japan has Asahi etc..... I would like to acknowledge the beer of New Zealand to be Steinlager. This brand has all the hallmarks of a Lovemark. People can identify with the brand as being uniquely "New Zealand" and come to expect the high quality brew that it is. The brand has also helped with sponsoring the All Blacks and Team New Zealand Yachting and many more. In my opinion, quite simply a Lovemark.

Steinlager
The only local beer I’d heard about before I arrived in New Zealand. Strongly associated with the All Blacks, it has achieved the champion status of the team. As a kiwi beer I see no reason why it could not grow more on an international level. Stella Artois is amazingly popular for a drink that comes from boring old Belgium!
