An all-time favourite which doesn't age
This book is a must for every young child's library. I read and re-read this book many times of the years to my two sons. It is a very appealing book with beautiful illustrations and a sweet story line. An all-time favourite which doesn't age.

Serendipity
I was happy to see Very Hungry Caterpillar on the home page of Lovemarks. I was just referring to Eric Carle's creation this weekend when recalling favorite books of my childhood. The combination of illustration, simple and meaningful interactivity and cut out shapes really stuck in my mind and excited me to return to the 'library rug' to see the librarian turn its pages. Even though I had read it myself and it had been read to me over and over it held my interest. It still does over all this time.

Everybody I mention it to
This wonderful children's book by Eric Carle is the first book I remember knowing. Crisp, bright images of food on clean white pages. The images made of wild colours and textures. Tiny caterpillar transformed to a beautiful butterfly. Everyone I ever mention it to remembers it from their childhood with love. Now my one year old son chooses it as a favourite.
