Springboks

Springboks

Politicians have tried to change it and continue to try in vein. A strong sign which represents both the past and the future and elicits as much passion as any other Lovemark when experienced in its immediate form. Hopefully it is dynamic enough to adapt to all the challenges that inevitably present themselves to a Team and symbol that is so successsful at the expense of others. So far that has been the case and the challenges have been many and constant. Look out for a spurt in its growth and recognition as the Clint Eastwood directed movie Invictus with Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon hits the movie screens in film in December 2009.

Klean Kanteen

Klean Kanteen

It takes courage to make the impossible possible. Klean Kanteen embodies that courage and is recognized as a pioneer in the personal hydration industry for inventing the first lightweight BPA-free alternative to plastic and aluminum reusable bottles. Klean inspired a grassroots movement through their products presence at music festivals, environmental fairs, green festivals, and outdoor events before it became fashionable to be green and subsequently BPA-free. I love my Klean Kanteen. It is more than a bottle. It is a change agent.

Honeywell Farm Shop

Honeywell Farm Shop

Honeywell meats is about good food that is good for you. Meats, cheeses, dairy, fruit and veg, preserves and chutneys, wines and beers - all sourced locally or from speciality producers. An independent in the midst of the nationals. Growing by supporting the local producers and giving them an outlet for their wares. Family operated and orientated, a shopping experience at Honeywell feels more like catching up with friends. The staff are always friendly and very knowledgable to match your requirements to the produce.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics

The Special Olympics brand resonates around the idea of 'love'. Special Olympians are given an opportunity to feel the 'joy' of competition and are supported by literally millions of volunteers around the globe. The Special Olympics Athletes' Oath is, "Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." It is hard to think of a more pure form of competition than the spirit of joy embodied within Special Olympics competition. As one competitor at the Youth Games in Oregon said, "This is the best day of my life!" In an age of cynicism about sport both professional and amateur. Special Olympics stands alone as a bastion of sport for sport's sake...the pure joy of competition.

Head & Shoulders

Head & Shoulders

Ever since that first television ad for the 'crazy' Head & Shoulders shampoo that 'really works', and the likelihood of suffering snowy, flaky shoulders diminished, Head & Shoulders has been reliably rinsing away our dandruff and soothing our scalps. I remember well my navy blue school blazer and the hell of dandruff (or residue hairspray - well, it was the 80's) and the relief of finding out that - yes - Head & Shoulders really does work. Head & Shoulders - I love you.
