I first came across Lovemarks when I was using a search engine to do some research. Something I had written led me to a comment on Lovemarks, and I had a look around the website and was amazed at what I found. Loads of people sharing the love they felt in a site.

I soon became quite pre-occupied with writing comments and nominating Lovemarks. Everyone who knew me found out about Lovemarks around about the time I got my first Lovemark put on the website. It was unavoidable. I was dancing on rooftops and shouting it out as loud as I could.

Some of my friends really liked the site and were impressed by my ranting and ravings, other friends were mildly interested. My family saw it as an opportunity to push me towards studying journalism. No thanks. When my mum found out how much time I spent on the site she tried to ban me.

Shopping is an expensive exercise, best treated with caution. I like buying albums, books and sushi. I use the restraint technique. It works only by flicking through magazines and avoiding shopping centers at all costs. I would like to live in Sweden, one of the Lovemarks nominated. Such a cold place on the other end of the Earth - what could be more of an adventure? I would also like to own The Sims computer games. There are so many out now and I can’t afford to get them all. I would like some ‘Art Slut’ clothing, after reading that Lovemark I went to the Art Slut website and liked what I saw.
