  There is little that inspires loyalty so much as that which has always been there. Since 1873 Wrexham football club has been at the heart of our community. Rarely brilliant, rarely terrible - but always dependable, and always just good enough to think "next season...". Wrexham's fans are second to none. United not just for 90 minutes each Saturday, but day after day, week after week, as they fight to save the historic Racecourse Ground from developers. Wrexham AFC is not a matter of life or death. And its not more important than that. But to lose the club to an anonymous out-of-town shoebox stadium would be a disaster for the club, and a disaster for the town. And perhaps there is nothing that inspires 'loyalty beyond reason' so much as a threat to take away what we have never been without.
