  Barcelona - the mark itself of art, old, master, modern, gothic, Gaudy, fashion, chocolate, techno, rambling, La Rambla, global, quaint, beach, metropolitan, suburban, educational, foundational, food, music and love. If you can't experience it there, you must be lost in some other world. There is no better place to experience the world spinning around itself so fast you can't see it spinning.

  Keens - nothing else protects, fits and provides a fashion statement like a pair of Keens. I fell in love with them as a sandal that would stay on my foot, trample through water and keep up with the pace of the work day, weekend yard work or vacation trek. Then I found the mid-boot and knew I could wear Keens all year round. With Keens I stand out in the crowd of foot fashion (although they are becoming more noticed on the feet of the masses) luckily not everyone loves them like some of us smart foot gear folks. We can still stand out from ankle to toe.

  Snoopy and the whole Peanuts gang. Been a collector for 37 of my 40 years on this planet. I have so many - I can't count them. My childhood bedroom was professionally painted with comic strips (before it became the posh way to decorate a kid’s room) and life-size drawings of the peanuts gang, especially snoopy who looked over the room from atop his dog house fighting off the red baron and ghosts in the night. Snoopy and his way of looking at the world around him and have counselled me through many life ventures. Today - he is the base for all my computer passwords when developing programming spreadsheets. To Snoopy and his faithful master Charlie Brown, may you live forever delivering the wit and wisdom every child needs.

  Dead Poets Society - the movie starring Robin Williams and at the time many unknowns, like Ethan Hawk. A true 100 time watch movie that helps you understand the inner psychi of teenage boys and how they fit (or not) with their peers, parents and the world around them. It is not always the writers of poems, books and screenplays that change the way we look at our world, but the movement of the story and the characters that reflect our lives and help us understand that we can connect with time and again. Even when we are decades out of the characters age range we long to understand how we survived those times. Dead Poets Society allows the viewer to relive and relinquesh the past for the future with meaningful statement.
