I don't smoke, often, yet I own 26 Zippo lighters. My favorite is a 1984 Solid Brass one, I got in San Francisco during a photo shoot for Zippo. My next favorite is my Father's with the Marine Corp insignia from 1944, it still works perfectly. Zippos have have been in more movies than any other actor or character ever! Over 350 roles -- they usually play themselves and add a degree of mystery and intrigue to every scene.
In 1999 I petitioned the Hollywood walk of Fame for a star with Zippo's name on it, they turned us down, but we're still trying. After all if Rin Tin Tin can have a star why not Zippo?
