Merrell wasn't the first, but their sport sandals beat the competition hands down (sorry Teva). From May to September I live in my three-year old Merrells - I wear them with shorts, capris, and jeans. I wear them while teaching my fourth-graders. They're on my feet when I kayak the Pend Oreille and Coeur d'Alene Lakes. I wear them hiking and taking our nightly family walk. They've traveled to Montana on the trail of Lewis and Clark, into the headwaters of the Missouri River, over Traveler's Rest and across the Bitterroots. The only place I don't wear them is to bed!
