  ‎"Music is some sort of excuse to be a human, and people need that excuse to sing their hearts out," says Marcus Mumford in one of his interviews. This is exactly how I started listening to them. Right after college, I was a little lost and needed that excuse that would maybe lead me to the truth. I was changing cities, going from one informational interview to another, looking up at the stars in the night sky at the end of each day, and asking myself whether I could make a mistake and miss my fate in case I make a "bad" decision by choosing to stay in the city which is not meant for me. In a world where people have a more pessimistic view on life and often categorize life decisions as good or bad, Mumford & Sons taught me to stay optimistic at all times and told me that as long as I follow my heart, I would not make any mistakes. I currently live in Minnesota. Yes, I managed to stay in the state where my heart is. And I did go to the Mumford & Sons concert in Minneapolis on my birthday (10/29/2010) and made my dream come true by ending up having 4 tickets to the concert in the last minute when everybody said there is no way I can even find one single ticket, as the tickets were sold out months ago. I also had a chance to have a conversation with Ben Lovett and Winston Marshall at the end of their concert and told them how amazing they are in person. I truly love this band and I must say that it was definitely not the fear of the cold that made me start listening to this band, but LOVE! I still remember the first time I listened to a Mumford & Sons song. It was for sure love at first sight, and if it wasn't, it was a lot like it. They awoke my soul and caught me at such a right time that I became personally attached to all their lyrics and beats. However far away and however long I stay I will always love them and follow them with my whole life.
