On my 21st birthday, I was so grateful and lucky to have been given a ring by my mom that I had had my eyes on for years. I was dying for a certain type of David Yurman ring with his signature double rope that wraps around your finger with a square cut stone encrusted by an outline of small diamonds. When I opened the oversized box that the ring was wrapped in as a disguise, I was absolutely shocked and surprised. I wear the ring everyday and, to me, it's more than just another David Yurman ring, it is a piece of jewelry I love and admire that has memories attached to it. Every time I look at it, I think of my mom and also how lucky and happy I am. The stone in the ring is also the color of energy and I carry that with me, making me feel positive and invigorated.
