You can't go wrong at a Four Seasons. The hotels are beautiful and the service is impeccable. And when you travel a lot, service makes a huge difference. Here's a story: One night I was staying at the Four Seasons in Mexico DF for a meeting, and I had a very bad cold. I called reception to ask for a wake up call, and the person who answered noticed that. He asked me if I needed anything, I said no, that I just had a cold. Ten minutes later, they knocked on my door. There was a tray with chamomile tea, honey, and a teddy bear with a nurse's hat. Isn't that lovely?
If you've tried one pretzel dog from Auntie Anne's and you're not completely in love, you're not alive! I skip lunch knowing that there's one in La Guardia airport.
Moving is a moving experience. It involves your home being dismantled, all your stuff taken away. It's stressful and can be upsetting. Unless of course you call the Crown Relocation guys. I moved twice with them in the past two years, and they're amazing. They're friendly and super professional, and I totally value that they keep their word. If they say they come one day, they come. If they say the stuff will be at your new home in two weeks, it does. From the person who answers your calls to the guys who pick up the stuff at your home and wrap every plate with the utmost care (and speed!) to the truck driver to the guys who unpack everything like your mom would, everyone is nice and polite and very professional. Moving will always be moving. And while they don't take care of the emotional side of it, they certainly make sure that the practical side is totally taken care of.
Isn't that lovely?
