We first met the Folkmanis range of puppets in Sydney when my daughter fell in love with a Cheetah Puppet we had bought her for her birthday over 8 years ago. Since then we have become avid watchers of the most expressive and well made puppets ever seen. Our menagerie has grown and includes a unicorn, a wolf puppy and even a 25 year old bear puppet I rescued from a Recycled Shop. When my mother had a stroke, some years back, she spent 4 weeks with Kika (the Cheetah puppet) on her hand keeping her company when we couldn't be there. Kika listened to her recite poetry to get her voice back and, no matter how she moved in her sleep, never fell off the bed. The website is wonderful, the care and attention to detail on every puppet is amazing and the story behind them is uplifting.
