This little Japanese sushi bar/restaurant changed the dead carpark next to Woolworths in Byron Bay, NSW, Australia into a hive of buzzing activity. Our tourist town finally had a place where locals could meet and eat, and the tourists could enjoy the freshness of the food and the locals without taking over the joint. The owners are warm hearted Israelis always making you feel like a long lost relative dropping in for dinner. The sushi chefs are all Japanese...and professionally trained, so of course, the food is spectacular. It’s a spunky vibrant atmosphere that is inviting as much to families as it is to young people, romantics, surfers, famous actors and retirees. Their website is also very inviting. You can log on and read about the chefs, see pics of yourself with friends eating sushi with awkward chopsticks, order takeaway from the online menu, or check out their promotions. I love O-Sushi and find it hard to drag myself away and eat at other restaurants...so I don’t. I am as loyal as loyal can be and I know there are 100’s more like me out there.
