It is also about the adventures that can transpire when a woman stops trying to live in imitation of society's ideals. • Reconnects food to its roots

      farm 255

      27 May 2008

Farm 255 is a restaurant that seeks to reconnect food to its roots and people to their food. They serve local, seasonal and sustainable food for supper nightly. In addition to the Farm they manage Full Moon Farms, a seven-acre organic/biodynamic farm in Athens, Georgia. Unlike the owners of any other restaurant in the Athens area owners know of, they are the folks sowing turnip seeds in the morning and cooking turnip greens in the evening. They supplement their harvests with those of other local family farmers and ranchers that avoid harmful chemicals and practice sustainable agriculture. Their menu, based on seasonal shifts in the field, changes as often as the weather. Their meat comes from pasture-raised animals and is hormone and antibiotic free. They purchase whole animals and use all the various cuts of meat throughout their menu.
