I am so sorry that the April Cornell Stores are closing in the entire United States. I will forever love the pieces that I have acquired over time from the collection. Now I have to learn to live without this beautiful store that always had something for me to wear. Young or old you always felt welcome at April Cornell in Pasadena, California, they even made my husband feel welcome. Such a loss.
I feel the same way about other designers. They have never been able to make me feel like I feel in my April Cornell clothes. I, however, believe that I have found a source of new April Cornell clothing on the web. I will be attending a wedding soon and I have not found a dress, so at the suggestion of my husband. We searched the web, and believe that we have found a great source of new as well as previously worn dresses available on E-bay. My sweet husband ordered two new dresses for me that I hope to receive in the next few weeks. Oh to be able to go back to shop at April Cornell.
To everyone that is sad, visit ebay. I have purchased 4 dresses in the past month. They are excellent, new with tags. I finally feel happy again and count the days until my next purchase. Try it, I shop with All about April, or collectable heaven located in Canada. I too miss her shop, I can hardly go to Pasadena and not feel sad that my store is no longer in the shopping mall.
I know that ebay does not offer the newest items but there are some cute new pieces, I have purchased four dresses already all had the tags on them. Please let us know how to get a catalog. Thank you.
