They let you down
The problem with the Nokia brand is that it makes you fall in love with it. Their products are brilliant and their consistency makes them the easiest to migrate upwards to. All that raises your expectations in terms of the behaviour you can then expect from their people. Then they let you down so badly that you are as angry as a jilted lover. Behaviour that I would consider on par from most international brands (rude, arrogant, dumb) in India somehow seems less acceptable from Nokia.

Beyond practicality
I simply love Nokia. It has that something which makes you develop an incredible attachment - for a metal device which was designed for a 100% practical purpose. Now they have gone far beyond practicality, of course. Still, I don't use it for its games or other tricks, but I really enjoy having it in my pocket - and the opposite creates a very weird sensation in my head. I got my mobile phone (Nokia...) stolen once and I bought a cheaper one (still a "big brand") because I didn't have the money on the spot to buy the Nokia that I wanted. I kept this other "big brand" for a while, because I had no choice, but the fact that I didn't have "my Nokia" was making me really nervous and I was annoyed every time I looked at my phone - and I looked at it quite often, because I was talking a lot on the phone. So one day I said "Enough is enough!", and went into the first nearby shop. A new Nokia was resting in my pocket 5 minutes later. What a relief... the world was falling into the right place again!
