  • A fabulous, fun, functional vehicle

If you have one love of your life, I would submit it's equally possible to have one car of your life. For me, and many others like me, that car is the Honda Element. Like everyone else, we were skeptical at first. It is, indeed, very boxy. It's unconventional. It's got those weird doors. It has no carpet. But brave souls look past that. Indeed, you have this great gut feeling that you're part of a secret SUV intelligentsia, a veritable Illuminati of auto lovers who looked beyond the boxy and found a fabulous, fun, functional vehicle. My heart does a little dance everytime I see my car, because those funny doors are going to close, I'll be inside with my sweepable floors, my punky little subwoofer, and a crazy grin, all the way home.

  • Going strong!

My family has owned 6 Hondas over the last 10 years, 2 of them were traded in for new Hondas. They are so reliable that 3 of them are well over 100,000 miles and going strong! I will not buy another brand of automobile ever!

  • It fit like a glove

My Honda went over 215,000 miles without a break-down. And then, when it did break on a short trip out-of-town, the culprit turned out to be a part that was covered by a "hidden" warranty. At 220,000 miles! My car fit me like a glove, considering I "wore" it for so long. And eventually we had to part ways at 320,000 miles. I donated my Honda to our church, who gave it to someone who really needed it. It's still running around town. Absolutely amazing. I now drive a used Toyota that I worry about every day, even though it has only 180,000 miles on it. Ha!

  • One great relationship

I love my Honda Accord! It has given me 17 years of trouble-free service, and has asked for little in return. While it no longer has that pristine, new-car look, it still runs great, and never lets me down. That's more than you get from most relationships, so how can I give it up?

  • Living up to the "U"

In just one week of ownership, I have come to adore this quirky, unique vehicle. The Element lives up to the "U" in SUV, quickly converting from family car with four bucket seats, to our "Bikemobile" when the back seats are removed. It only took my husband one evening after purchasing our new Element to install a front fork-mounting system for our two road bikes in back. The cavernous cargo area of the Element provides plenty of room for both bikes, gear, and luggage. And is this baby ever practical, with wide-opening double doors on both sides that permit loading bikes without opening our garage door and letting bugs in. This funky SUV is a huge step up the "coolness" scale from a mini-van. In fact, it's just about as hip as we are -- at only 43 and 50 years young!

  • I can't say enough

I own a Honda Insight and can't say enough about how wonderful it is. With the price of gas nearing $2.00 a gallon, I smile every time I fill up my 10 gallon tank and think that I have gone over 700 miles on that much gas. I average over 70mpg, with my best ever being 80.3 mpg for a tank of gas. I love the Auto Stop feature that shuts down the engine at redlights and trains, etc. And the fact that it is smart enough to recharge its own battery is pretty awesome. Someone remarked that it must be making its own gas, too. I can get my full size Road bike in the back along with all the biking gear. This is definitely the car of the future. If you are lucky enough to find one, snatch it quickly, because they are hard to find.

  • In love again

My first car was my Dad's white '73 Honda Civic, a hand-me down when I turned 16. I could have been a Honda salesperson, as much as I loved that car and devotedly "sold" it to anyone who would listen to me. I always thought Honda should put me on retainer for them--but they haven't needed to. I have driven other cars, some of them Hondas, and now 29 years later I'm in love again. A white Honda Pilot. For my grown-up years.

  • Poor excuses

When I was a kid I saw an ad campaign which said "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" and fell in love with the concept of a brand (didn't know the word then) that brought so much diversity together in such a cheerful manner. Then, as I grew up I admired Honda's styling. Good taste and detailing made it a classier brand than the showier performance brands. But then I bought one. Obviously Honda considers the Indian market not deserving of their best products and the poor engineering of the product was surpassed by the quality of excuses their staff handed out. The problem with brands that make you fall in love with them is that they raise your expectations to a point where they probably cannot fulfill them profitably.

  • Lots of personality

My first car was a 1986 Honda Prelude. It had 136,000 miles on it when I bought it from a neighbor. It was cute, sporty, had a sunroof and parallel parked like a dream. It had its quirks but it was a great little car with lots of personality. When I wrecked it - an act for which I have yet to forgive myself - it had almost 200K miles on it, and I bet we could have made it to 300 with no problem.
