Truly changed me
I cannot believe how powerful an experience working on Project Daymaker was. We helped 24 people at a Ronald McDonald House in Michigan, two of whom were homeless. The individuals seemed so incredibly touched and grateful to have been cared about. Their joy from connecting with us and having their haircut truly changed me. I feel very fortunate to have been able to help people, who really needed it, and make a difference in their lives. Project Daymaker was a profound, enriching experience.

A sense of euphoria
I have witnessed three Project DayMaker visits to date. They not only help make your day, they make it a "Good Hair Day". Helping them gives everyone a sense of euphoria.

Project Daymaker does that
In my work with the elderly, I have had the privilege to understand and respect that all of us, men, women, young and old, all colors of skin and spiritual beliefs desire to try to "HELP OTHERS HELP THEMSELVES " and Project Daymaker does that and so much more! I thank you for your compassion to boost self-esteem to us all.

The smiling faces
I will never forget the first time I was involved with Project Daymaker - (with a name that is well suited!!) I was expecting 'men' to be those in need, instead it was equally women and children -I was shocked! The most rewarding thing to see is the smiling faces after they have received their services, and you know that someone has just 'made their day'! I don't see how those in need could go without a Daymaker!

The media "gets it"
As a publicist, it doesn't get any better than working to promote Project Daymaker. It's a winner on many levels - it begins with the generosity and spirit of Frederic Holzberger, founder and sponsor, continues with the warmth and passion of Kelly who coordinates the movement of the Winnebago throughout the country, doesn't miss a beat with the driver, Gary, whose heart bursts with pride with each happy haircut recipient, the volunteers who "work" on their day off to help others and last but not least, it elevates the status of the hairdresser to being a daymaker. I am proud and honored to be part of the team. The icing on the cake is that the media "gets it."

A happier, kinder place
This is an amazing project. Knowing that more smiles are generated and more heads are held high due to this lovely way of sharing makes this world a happier, kinder place to be. Thanks, Project Daymaker, for all you do.

The pure definition of a Lovemark
Project Daymaker is love that marks people's lives. In the Aveda network there are so many dedicated people we have too many hairdressers and not enough chairs in this mobile salon. So we use regular chairs and create more spots, and jam in like clams. I am always there because it helps me keep perspective on how fortunate I am. This last time we had 10 styists as well as all the clients. By making Project Daymaker a Lovemark, we will be able to get more support and funding to maintain this mobile salon and maybe get another one. The driver of this salon needs to be part of the Lovemark because he drives it everyday; he is the kindest person I know. Project Daymaker is the pure definition of a Lovemark.

Honored to be involved
I was honored to be a part of Project Daymaker for over one year, and was able to experience what an impact it has on improving one's self-esteem and overall self-identity. The dedication and generosity of the staff and volunteers who work with Project Daymaker is something very special, and very rewarding. Thank you for being so active in our community!
