  • Inspirational leader

I would like to thank Tana for taking a lot of bad press this year getting through it all and leading the boys to the Lions series win, the Bledisloe cup and the Try Nations you are truly an inspirational leader.

  • A big love bite

I quite agree Tana is a great role model and not only in New Zealand. His work with kids should be an inspiration to us all. He certainly does derserve a big love bite for being such a great, caring person and for being such an inspiration and much admired captain.

  • The best rugby player EVER

Tana has written his name in the history books of Rugby as the best rugby player EVER. I think there is no other player that has his skills, courage, confidence and respectful attitude.

  • You should win a Nobel Prize

Dear Mr Umaga, As a father of two and a keen rugby fan, I would like to commend you as both the greatest rugby player on the planet and a great ambassador for fathers who care about their children's development, both physical and educational. You should win a Nobel Prize! I will always back you as you will always back our kids. Here's to the future.

  • Supporting the All Blacks no matter what it takes

I think Tana is really great. I am officially a New Zealander but I moved to Australia a year ago. I am going to keep supporting the All Blacks no matter what it takes.

  • An inspiration to young rugby 'hopefuls'

What can I say about Tana Umaga..he is a legend! He is a brilliant captain and of course an absolutely awesome rugby player. I was lucky enough to catch his final AB's game in Scotland (sniff, sniff). The response he got from the crowd after the match was incredible. Chanting "U-ma-u-ma-ga". I'm sure it would fall under one of his many 'proud moments'. He is truly in an inspiration to young rugby 'hopefuls' and to his fellow team mates.

  • Inspire the uninspired

I've growing up watching softball, cricket, league but not rugby. Not until Tana set food with NZ All Blacks...well actually when he joined the Wellington Hurricanes. I've never stopped since. Tana, if you read this, just want you to know that you inspire the uninspired. Your braveness brings warmth and smiles too all who watch, especially me. I don't know what to say but Tana you are a legendary NZ Hero along with others. You'll always be a GREAT in my books! Keep smiling your beautiful smile!

  • A great person as well as a great player

In the first All Black game I ever saw, Tana Umaga stood out immediately as someone worth watching. Everything I have since read about it has underscored that he is a great person as well as a great player. My dream is to see him play in person.

  • Really moves me...

The way that brave Tana spearheads the All Black's attack against the Lions really moves me - he deserves much more than just a Lovemark!
