Provoking and engaging
Apart from Jurassic Park (the book more than the film), he's also given us ER, which has remained a very provoking and engaging show which on several occasions has managed to put a manly lump in my throat.

I started to hear strange noises...
I was deep in the jungle. Alone. When I started to hear strange noises, and then they appear: The Velociraptors. They started to come after me, I was running as fast as I can, when I fell.The surround me. I felt trapped. And them I turn looked at my watch and saw it was past midnight, so I close the book and think what would happen at Jurassic Park. Since that novel I became a Crichton fan. Eating every book from this great and imaginative author of our time.
