  • For the young and edgy

Great nomination for a great magazine that is one of the only honest, relevant, and thoughtful pieces of print media out there. Lighter then Mother Jones and The Nation, and with great CD reviews, it is a great magazine for the young and edgy at heart.

  • Grace and intelligence

Nina Utne is a true heroine to me and a woman with so much integrity, passion and the potential to steward the hearts and minds of women all over the world. The team at Utne is growing and redefining themselves with grace and intelligence while Nina has proven especially proactive by taking the magazine to the next level, with projects like the cofounding of CODEPINK Women for Peace!

  • All potential alternatives

I find Utne Magazine to be one of the most thoughtful and intelligent publications out there. It contains articles that are truly relevant to my own life - the magazine inspires anyone who reads it to look at all angles of every situation and think about all potential alternatives to the current status of things.

  • Big love for big road map

By far the most enjoyable, intelligent and inspiring magazine around. If you truly want to do good work and make a difference in the world, they give you the road map. Big love to Utne! Big big love.

  • The coolest Lovemark

Love it, yeah Miho. It is, and I say this with 100% certainty, without a doubt the coolest Lovemark I have ever seen in my entire life!

  • Utne nurtures its readers

Utne is the only magazine I subscribe to. It is the only magazine I read cover to cover including the ads. Utne intrigues with stories of injustices that anger me, yet I never feel defeated or discouraged after reading these articles. I feel it is because the magazine in general emphasizes being pro-active and often prints stories of people who have contributed positively to the world. Utne also prints such a variety of subject matter that I will often end up reading with great interest stories that I did not expect to be interesting. Utne nurtures its readers. It treats me as a responsible, caring, whole human being. Not many magazines, much less people can do this. For respecting me in this manner, I love this magazine and have a higher expectation of excellence, integrity and honesty.
