It breaks my heart!!
Traveling on a ferry across the lake, a French tourist told me she was disappointed with the architecture. Looking out from the same boat it did not escape me that even more alarming are entire hiilsides covered in bright yellow flowering Australian Broom. Are Kiwis (the people) ruining this landscape? It breaks my heart!!

A toast to New Zealand, cheers Queenstown
As a child my family and I used to visit Queenstown all the time and over the years I've seen it grow from a small Kiwi Town into an ultra modern tourist spot. Stop and wait, look up from the streets and everywhere you look you are reminded where you are. I can buy Nike, I can buy Sony, I can eat Caviar all within 5 mins of each other...but to feel warm, cozy and "home" I need only look up - to see New Zealand Nature at it's finest. The sun sets over the skyline, the Remarkables burst into golden colour, the best Kiwi Wine chilled in my glass - a toast to New Zealand, cheers Queenstown.
