It gave me back my life with my kids

In 1998 I had what was I thought was to be a small surgery, but it went horribly wrong. I finally got to go home I was stuck in a bed in too much pain to move. One day my daughter came running at me to give me a simple hug, and I had to stop her, because I was in too much pain. I will never forget the look in her eyes when I turned her away, her mouth puckered out and her eyes watered up, and the biggest tears ran down her face. That look will haunt me for the rest of my life. I was implanted with my pump. In just one week after my recovery I was able to pick up my child and give her a simple hug for the first time in over a year. It has given me a better quality of life, and I will remember it for the rest of my life. It gave me back my life with my kids.
