Knows what they're doing
After owning one of their watches for over a year as well as going to their factory in Ibach, I can tell you that this company, to say the least, knows what the hell they're doing. I don't think I'll ever NOT have one of their knives on a camping trip or another brand on my wrist any time soon.

High quality and very attractive
High quality and very attractive Swiss designed products ranging from knives to backpacks and clothing. I like how they apply the Swiss cross to their products. It makes them look cool.

I'm part of a Community!
And here I was thinking I was going to be first in nominating the Swiss Army Knife (in all it's myriad versions). In fact, this just proves a point, now I know that I'm not alone... I'm part of a Community !

A surprise 'girl's best friend'
My Swiss Army knife is bright pink, and the actual blade is the only attachment that isn't vanity related (but it still comes in handy where awkward packaging is concerned). A surprise 'girl's best friend' - I need never be without tweezers again!

The meeting of beauty and utility
I love that little red shield and cross. My Swiss Army knife, watch, and travel gear are abiding reminders of things well designed and well made, a celebration of the pure joy that can accompany the meeting of beauty and utility. I like to have that unmistakable rich red color somewhere with me at all times. It's the color of quality, durability, efficiency - self-reliance.

I wouldn't be without one
Very handy artefact I wouldn't be without. Indeed I've now had various Swiss Army Knives since about seven or eight years of age and am now almost 30.

Am emblem
I've always wondered why a country with no army to speak of had such a knife. Clever piece of branding building. Now I know it's an emblem of self-sufficiency that qualifies the owner to take up arms any time Switzerland is invaded by hostile forces.

Independence, self-reliance, pride
Which would you rather leave home without – Amex card or Swiss Army knife. Everyone has a story. As a kid, it’s a one-upmanship game of who’s got the one with the most gadgets. You pray your aunt or your parents will get you one with the right attachments. It’s extendable – why stop at watches. It’s not to do with de-stoning horses’ hooves, or even practicality, it’s about independence, self-reliance and self-pride. It’s the political history of Switzerland, it’s all about – ‘just how does a little country with a small population and a little army prevent itself from being overrun by its big neighbors for so long and so successfully?’
