The fact that every Australian is born knowing what happens on the first Tuesday in November is proof of the Melbourne Cups Lovemark status. The best stayers in the country, the best hats in the country, throw in a few beers, a few bets and a bit of Melbourne sunshine and you've got the best day of the year. No matter how far or how wide I roam, I will always tune in for the Cup.
