  • I had Wombles everything

    As a wee kid I had Wombles everything. Curtains, pillowcases, bedside lamp, mug, pencil case. Elizabeth Beresford's litter-picking, Wimbledon Common inhabiting, grey furry creatures struck a chord in us all - and Mike Batt's catchy songs brought them even more to life. Thanks to the wonders of online shopping I'm now able to share this Womble magic with my young niece and nephews. Of course, I couldn't resist grabbing a copy of the CD for myself (The Orinoco Kid is a personal favourite).
