The best kind of coalition

This week's humanitarian concert in Rome, Italy, blew me away. As the inspirational Quincy Jones says "a lot has changed" in the nearly two decades since he was involved with the 'We Are the World' project. And regrettably, shamefully, a lot hasn't. Giving voice to the children living in the world's most war-ravaged regions is the best kind of 'emotional coalition'. The gifting wave will be going on for some time, as will the music, and the good from it only begins when the show ends. Quincy Jones again: "Together, we will make sure love shouts louder than hate, that the voices of silence will be drowned out by the voices of dignity and respect and our spirits will rejoice with the joyful sounds of peace, led by our children."
